DVD releases

We've got an eclectic mix of nude releases on DVD and Blu-ray this week, including the nude debut of Alexis Knapp in Project X (2012), an explicit sex scene rumored to be the real deal in The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea (1976), arthouse anatomy in the experimental noir Keyhole (2012), and a duo of stylized throwback flicks: a post-apocalyptic dance showdown that must been seen to be believed in The FP (2012) and Satanic skin in the grindhouse revival The Disco Exorcist (2011).

Also nude on Blu-ray, Wanderlust (2012) may have been a Wander-bust, but all's not lost with some full-frontal extras and nude deleted scenes.

Hollywood doesn't have much to offer this week on DVD and Blu-ray...well, there's Entourage, Season Eight, which would be a great choice except Ari, Vince & Co. failed to provide any nudity on the last season of their HBO bro-down. Sorry, guys, but we'd rather not hug that one out. Maybe with Perry Reeves...

So instead this week we're hopping the pond for some tea and (chest) crumpets from Kerry Fox in Shallow Grave (1994), the directorial debut of Oscar winner Danny Boyle. Plus, we've got the right proper British sex comedies Carry on Loving (1970) and Carry on Up the Jungle (1970), both new on DVD, and Lina Romay is her usual full-frontal self in the skin-filled Euro throwback The Perverse Countess (1974), nude on DVD.

We've got a few SKINteresting re-releases for you this week on Blu-ray, but first we've got a question for you: What's your opinion on fully nude French girls engaged in unsimulated acts of love? If your answer is "you had me at fully nude French girls," then do we have a nude release for you: Desire (aka Q) (2011), Skin Central's top SKINternational film of 2011 and an excellent example of having your cake (or in this cake, your split-beaver shots) and eating it too. Is it art disguised as porn, or porn disguised as art? Either way, it's recommended on DVD.

And in Blu-ray nudes, we've got a trio of re-releases that'll take you back to the glory days of the '80s: Cocktail (1988), The Color of Money (1986), and Sea of Love (1989).

When it rains, it pours, and we are positively dripping with skin-filled options this week on DVD and Blu-ray: First, True Blood Season 4 hits DVD with things that go hump in the night like Anna Paquin, Alexandra Breckenridge and Janina Gavankar. Then hot hockey groupies Brandy Jaques and Veronica Malinowski flash their pucks in Goon (2011), Tilda Swinton gives us something to talk about in We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011), and Harriet Andersson gives us a tit-story lesson in Summer with Monika (1953), the film that solidified Sweden's reputation as a SKINema pioneer.

Plus, if you prefer your vampires foxy, French, and full-frontal, check out the re-releases of Jean Rollin's Demoniacs (1974) and Requiem for a Vampire (1971), nude on Blu-ray.

It's another slow week for DVD and Blu-ray, but we've still got a smattering of perfectly sensual (and perfectly horrifying) releases for you. First off, she isn't at her nudest in Perfect Sense (2011), but some mid-range T&A from Eva Green still beats most stars' entire naked output, and it's nude on DVD and Blu-ray. Plus, we've got a trio of forbidden fantasies made flesh as Bettie Page: Dark Angel (2004) and Isla, The Wicked Warden (1980) are re-released on DVD and A Serbian Film (2009) arrives in an even more gruesome uncut form.

We're still in the doldrums for new, nude releases on DVD and Blu-ray, but this week things are looking up as the NC-17 '70s shocker 1900 (1976) hits Blu-ray with Stefania Casini's SKINfamous double handy scene with Gerard Depardieu and Robert DeNiro. Speaking of the '70s, the Walking Tall Trilogy also hits Blu-ray this week, featuring drive-in skin in Walking Tall (1973) and Walking Tall, Part 2 (1975). And if butch middle-aged Irishwomen flashing their jugs is your thing, you'll be handling your Nobbs as Albert Nobbs (2011) hits DVD and Blu-ray.

Plus, unzip your Levi's and prepare to fire your six-shooter as the XXX classic Debbie Does Dallas (1978) gets a deluxe DVD release.

We're a dollar late and a day short- or is it a day late and a dollar short? Anyway, there's not much to see in mainstream releases this week on DVD and Blu-ray, but we do have some interesting SKINtage titles to tell you about: First, feast on Euro-eyefuls Laura Gemser and more in the giallo thriller Murder Obsession (1980) nude on Blu-ray. And stay in that wayback machine for the sex comedy Naughty Teen (1977), nudely re-released on DVD, and the beautiful Blu-ray Blaxploitation rack of Marlene Clark in Ganja & Hess (1973). Then, modern-day purveyors of cinematic cheese The Asylum keep the skinematic tradition alive with 2-Headed Shark Attack (2012), already nude on Blu-ray but now also on DVD.

Plus, take in over 3 1/2 hours of blood, boobs and brawlin' babes as the exploitation compilation 42nd Street Forever hits Blu-ray with trailers for skinema classics like The Pom Pom Girls, Maid in Sweden, Chained Heat and more.

The pickings are pretty slim this week, but we do have a few rare birds spreading their wings on DVD and Blu-ray: first, a sweet hint of skin from Andrea Riseborough and Abbie Cornish (or her body double, anyway) in W.E. (2011); then SKINtage sex symbol Dolores Del Rio shows off her seat meat for a rare pre-Code nude scene in Bird of Paradise (1932), and Nora Alexis makes a sleazier sort of history in "Godfather of Gore" Herschell Gordon Lewis's final film before his 2002 comeback, The Gore Gore Girls (1972), nude on Blu-ray.

Plus, prepare to beat yourself senseless as sexy pugilist Gina Carano kicks ass in a skintight black outfit in Haywire (2012), not nude but highly punchable on Blu-ray.
