For years you were teased by the skimpy costumes and lesbian undertones of Xena: Warrior Princess, hoping that stars Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor would throw down their swords and battle each other between the sheets. But, alas, both babes used body doubles even for faraway side-boob shots. Lucy, at least, let an entire breast slip out of her shirt while she sang the National Anthem at a Detroit Red Wings game, but we've never seen her intentionally nude.

Hopefully all that tease is about to pay off, as Lucy has been talking up the nudity in her new series, Spartacus.

Lawless dished on the series at Comic-Con, hinting that we will indeed see her clothesless in the near future. Cinemaspy.com reports:

Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Battlestar Galactica) plays Lucretia in the upcoming Starz TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand (known in the U.S. merely as Spartacus), and appears in her first full-frontal nude scenes opposite actor John Hannah.

To make her feel more comfortable, producers are offering her a pubic wig to cover the lower regions. "I haven't worn it yet... I was like 'have you got a red one?' We have one just in case," she remarked to WENN.

Regarding her first sex scene, Lawless added: "It's the first time I had to do a sex scene; I try to think of myself as a modern woman but, honestly, I went home and had to go straight to bed. It was so stressful. There's full frontal male nudity. You see plenty, trust me. I'm a little traumatized."

To get ready to reveal all that skin, Lawless hit the gym, telling The New Zealand Herald that the nudity forced her to. "I do have to work out," she said. "Being naked on-screen is no fun."

But when Entertainment Weekly reporter Michael Ausiello tried to pin down the details on what exactly Lucy shows during her sex scene, asking, "What do we see?" Lucy coyly replied: “I just want you to watch.” Don't worry, Lucy, we will.

But what do you think? Will Lucy really get juicy on Spartacus? Or will these "nude scenes" amount to sex under a sheet? In the pro column is the nudity track record of the Starz network. Though the net has only produced a handful of original series, three of its programs (Crash, Party Down, and Hollywood Residential) have provided nudity. In the con column is Lucy's record; one accidental boob slip and a history of employing body doubles does not put our faith in her nude future, no matter what she might say.
