When you think of all the famous kisses in entertainment history, few really stand out.
Most movies feature at least one dramatic kiss against a sunset, on a bridge, with the wind whipping through the smoochers' hair. The big, music-swelling liplock has become a cliche and most of them are forgettable.
But there are a precious few that stand out as the best of the best, and in a new poll conducted by the UK department store Selfridges, the skinfamous girl-on-girl grope between Britney Spears and Madonna during the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards is the tops of the past decade.
Digital Spy reports:
"Madonna performing with both Britney and Christina was a big enough event in itself, but nobody - even the MTV people - expected what happened. It is one of the most memorable moments ever," a source said.
Second on the list was Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst in Spider-Man. We'll buy that, thanks to Kristen nipping out in that wet shirt. Number three was Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain, while Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Twilight was four. Rounding out the top five was Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which is ridiculous. It was just a peck! At MrSkin.com, that was one of the great letdowns of the decade.

The Britney Spears-Madonna kiss was pretty steamy. I bet there was tons of tongue action between those two.
The Kirsten Dunst-Tobey Maguire kiss was only hot because of Kirsten's nipples poking through her wet shirt, but other than that, nah. I mean, how exciting can it be to kiss upside down in the rain?
I don't go into two guys smooching, so I'll skip over the Jake Gyllenhaal-Heath Ledger kiss.
I've never seen the kiss between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, so I have no comment on that one, but I can tell you right now though that the Scarlett Johansson-Penelope Cruz one doesn't belong. It was brief and not very sexual, therefore not very enticing.
