This week New York City will be overrun with hordes of turtleneck-clad film types barking into their smartphones about the cinema d’arte that they just witnessed at the Tribeca Film Festival. Mr. Skin doesn’t know much about art, but he knows what he likes, and he knows that art films often contain loads of nudity, which is what he likes. Malin Akerman is a big presence at this year’s Festival; she was spotted working the red carpet last night with costar Ryan Phillipe at the Tribeca screening of their new film, The Bang Bang Club. No news yet of whether Malin bares her boom booms in Bang Bang, but she told OK! Magazine she and Phillipe filmed some steamy sex scenes together; “He’s a wonderful guy. We had such a great camaraderie and a great bond so it felt really comfortable,” she said.
A group of thirtysomething friends gathers to celebrate their fading youth in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, also playing at Tribeca. Nudity All-Star Michelle Borth tops Mr. Skin’s guest list for this orgiastic comedy, with Lake Bell, Leslie Bibb, Lucy Punch, Lindsay Sloane, and Angela Sarafyan rounding out the female cast. The only thing that could ruin this orgy is a gift bag full of crotch patches!
Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington play a restless yuppie couple in Last Night, also playing at Tribeca. Keira’s jealousy is inflamed when Sam goes on a business trip with sexy coworker Eva Mendes. But while her hubby’s away, temptation presents itself in the form of sexy ex Guillaume Canet. Sexpect loads of cheating action- and long-winded talk about cheating action- in this R-rated drama.
For some surefire Niopponese nudity at Tribeca, check out the bizarre “pink musical” Underwater Love. Sawa Masaki stars as Asuka, a woman with a fish-factory job and a boring fiance who unexpectedly encounters an old acquaintance that drowned when they were still in high school. The man, Aoki, has become a kappa- a half-man, half-turtle creature from Japanese folklore. The beauty and the beast get it on in several scenes of softcore sex, skincluding one where Aoki tells his beloved that to prolong her life, he needs to insert an “anal pearl” into her bum. Speaking of bums, Sawa’s seat meat features prominently on the poster for Underwater Love, so sexpect plenty of Asian anatomy in this quirky blend of musical fantasy and sexploitation.
