Dakan (1997)

The winner of the Grand Jury Award for Outstanding Foreign Narrative Feature at the L.A. Outfest in 1998, the Francophone drama Dakan (1997) tells the story of two high-school boys in New Guinea who are also gay lovers. But along with all the gaiety, there is also an unclothed encounter of the female kind with French babe Cécile Bois. Thanks for dakan it off, Cécile!

It's a good thing this movie isn't called The Shallow, because three-foot-deep water rarely gets cold enough to make nipples stand as firm and erect as Jacqueline Bisset's in The Deep (1977). Unless it's outdoors in Alaska. OK, so that was a shallow thing to say. But really, do you think this movie is famous for Nick Nolte's performance? In a similar vein as Jaws (1975), The Deep features a "terror from the deep" theme, including sunken treasure, drug smuggling, and black magic. But the opening sequence is what makes the movie worth watching . . . and could have earned it the title "Jugs"!
Le Jupon rouge (1987)

The César-nominated French drama Le jupon rouge (1987) stars Alida Valli as Bacha, a Holocaust survivor who works as an activist and writer, and Marie-Christine Barrault as her long-time secretary and friend Manuela. In one mam-rable bathtub scene, we get to see Barrault’s barrels as she bathes while another woman looks on. That will turn your jupon rouge!
Karmen Geï (2001)

Filmed in Senegal, Karmen Geï (2001) is an adaptation of the story of Carmen, made famous in the opera by Bizet. This version stars Djeïnaba Diop Gaï in the tit-ular role as a bisexual temptress. Things get steamy when Djeïnaba bares her butt and seduces the topless female warden (Stephanie Biddle), turning the woman into her lesbian love slave. Senegal? More like Skin-egal!
