Hello my friends, and welcome back to Castle Rackula. I’ve been in a reflective mood lately. The economic meltdown that currently surrounds us has put me in mind of the movie Wall Street and the Black Monday crash of 1987.

Of course, the market doesn’t concern me, since all my assets are in the form of Aztec gold stored in a vault deep below the castle and guarded by an army of my thralls. As long as the blood banks don’t fail, I’ll be fine.

But back to the topic at hand. The 80s were a special for this vampire. I was in my early eight hundred and twenties and looking for a good time. And when I wasn’t haunting Studio 54 or waiting outside the health clinics to bite the girls who came out clean, I was at the movies!

The rock-n-roll madman known and feared worldwide as GG Allin was born Jesus Christ Allin -- for real -- to Vermont hillbillies on this date in 1956.

As chronicled in the documentary Hated, this one-of-a-kind talent literally tore audiences apart. While publicly performing his incendiary odes to evil, GG Allin would punch people out, empty his kidneys and bowels on stage, lacerate his skin, vomit, consume the body wastes of others, and assault all comers with any blunt object within his grasp.

Alas, the light that burns brightest also flames out fastest, and on June 29, 1993, GG Allin died of an accidental heroin overdose in New York City.

So why would Mr. Skin pay tribute to so craven a man-beast? Because to a generation of over-the-edge and out-of-their-clothes female actresses, rockers, models, performers, and artists, GG Allin serves as a Satanically powerful skinspiration.

Consider the Suicide Girls, Melinda Clarke self-mutilating in Return of the Living Dead III, daredevil scream queen Emily Haack, marble-nippled freak show Meg McCarville … and even Alanis Morissette, who happily pees into keg cups on camera!
