We've seen Piper Perabo play a wide variety of roles in her career, but it's been far too long since we've seen her in our favorite: naked girl.
Well, cheer up, Piper fans, because our Skin Skout just left a preview screening of the time-travel action flick Looper (2012) at the Toronto International Film Festival and he reports that in the film, Piper breaks a non-nude streak that has lasted since 2001's Lost and Delirious.
Piper's role has been kept under wraps save for a seductive promo photo (above), so we won't tell you too much. But we will say she plays a "showgirl" who dances on stage in lingerie and then bares breasts in bed with star Joseph Gordon-Levitt 24 minutes in. Sorry, butt men- no Pooper.

Fair warning: Depending on your opinion of Aubrey Plaza, you're either going to find this trailer incredibly endearing or impossibly irritating.
Skin Central, as it turns out, finds her adorable, and so we're pretty into this red-band trailer for Aubrey's new movie The To Do List (2013), about a young woman who makes a list of all the sex acts she'd like to try (get it? "The to DO List?"). The only creepy part? Aubrey's playing a high school senior trying to accomplish all this before she goes off to college, but hey-- high school kids are usually 18 by the time they graduate, right? Some of 'em, anyway? (For the record, Aubrey is 28 in real life).
There's no nudity in this trailer (just a lot of dirty talk), and The To Do List doesn't hit theaters until February 14, 2013, but you can get an eyeful of Aubrey's Parks and Recreation co-stars Rashida Jones and Amy Poehler right here at MrSkin.com!
There are two approaches to onscreen nudity. One is the Shannon Elizabeth/Linnea Quigley school, where an actress makes her anatomical assets the center of attention in a series of comedy (or horror) flicks-- and her career. The other is the Kate Winslet/Michelle Williams school, where an actress uses onscreen nudity to prove that she's "serious" about her art and deserves an armload of awards like so.
It's a little late for Helen Hunt to get on the "scream queen" bandwagon, so she's enrolled in the latter school for her new movie The Sessions (formerly known as The Surrogate), where she makes her full frontal debut as a sex therapist with an unusual specialty: personally relieving patients of their virginity.
Nudecomer Annika Marks also goes nude in the film, which is already garnering serious awards buzz for Hunt as well as for John Hawkes as one of her disabled clients. If all else fails, Helen, rest assured: you're an early favorite for an Anatomy Award.

Butter (2011) has been making the festival rounds for a while now (our Skin Skout saw a screening at SXSW back in March), but the satirical comedy starring Jennifer Garner as a self-righteous housewife and Olivia Wilde as a home-wrecking stripper has just now released a trailer. We've got mixed feelings about this one, and here's why:
On the one hand, our Skin Skout reports that, despite the suggestive trailer and "R" rating, Olivia does not go nude in the film, a depressingly typical state of affairs for celebrity "stripper" roles (See also: Closer).
On the other, the trailer doesn't mention the "good part" of the film, a girl-girl makeout scene between Olivia and Twilight star Ashley Greene. And that's more than enough to make us melt (in our pants, of course).

Most Hollywood re-makes are subject to ire from passionate fans of the original(s), so get ready for that weird guy in your video editing class to be really super angry as Universal announces that they are re-making Videodrome (1983), David Cronenberg's grotesque exploration of televisual voyeurism.
And while there's plenty of opportunity to mess this up (Guys, just PLEASE don't make it about a website instead of a TV channel. That movie already exists-- it's called Suicide Club), we have some reason to be optimistic. The film will be the feature debut of director Adam Berg, who has been entrusted with the film after a series of high-profile commercial gigs like this one that are, we have to say, pretty damn cool.
Ugh, wait, never mind. Deadline.com says that Universal plans to "Modernize the concept, infusing it with the possibilities of nano-technology and blow it up into a large-scale sci-fi action thriller." So like Total Recall (2012) but with more S&M.
Speaking of, who will play the seductive superfreak so memorably portrayed by Deborah Harry in the original? We think that Noomi Rapace would look pretty good putting out cigarettes on her chest...or maybe that was just a dream we had when we fell asleep watching The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2009).

Lawless (2012), director John Hillicoat's highly anticipated followup to The Road (2009), has a red-band trailer that makes the bootlegging drama look more exciting than a Mason jar of white lightning.
We're especially excited here at Skin Central because the trailer shows us brief snippets of all three of the movie's nude scenes: First, fast-forward to the 55-second mark to see a topless woman perched on the edge of a bed. Then, 1 minute and 38 seconds in, we get a quick look at an uncredited woman running through the woods with her shirt ripped open.
But the real attraction is star Jessica Chastain, who gives us a sneak preview of her sex scene with Tom Hardy 1 minute and 43 seconds into the trailer. Jessica doesn't actually show anything here, but our Skin Skout reports that we get a "great look at both breasts" an hour and 12 minutes into the movie. Lawless? More like Braless!

The Master (2012), Paul Thomas Anderson's "it's-totally-not-about-Scientology-I-swear" epic starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the charismatic leader of a cult-like group, Amy Adams as his doting wife, and Joaquin Phoenix as a conflicted disciple, is at the top of our list of movies to see this year, but not for the nudity. Sure, P.T.A. made Boogie Nights (1997), the movie that brought Roller Girl Heather Graham to our attention, but that movie was about porn. Of course it had a lot of skin. But a creepy 1950s period piece like The Master won't be nude. Right?
Wrong! Anderson was on hand for an exclusive 70mm preview screening of The Master at Chicago's Music Box Theatre last night, and among the lucky attendees was our own Skin Skout. Our Skout reports that Amy Ferguson, whom you may remember from Garden State (2004) and Tanner Hall (2009), goes topless in the film, as does newcomer Jennifer Neala Page. But that's nothing compared to a party scene 1 hour and 8 minutes into the film where Joaquin imagines an entire room full of women nude--and we get to see it all, including full frontal from Katie Boland. Talk about a Master-piece.

English comedian Leigh Francis really, really likes boobtastic Brit babe Kelly Brook-- so much so, he wrote a part for her in his new movie Keith Lemon: The Film (in UK cinemas August 24) just so he could make out with her on screen. Funny, we tried that with Kelly and all we got was a restraining order...
