Animal Instincts III hits DVD -- August 16, 1999

Ask any filmmaker: a great movie begins with a great script.

And on this date, in 1999, a mound-blowing motion picture hit DVD (after four years of VHS) that proved that maxim to be true – down to the letter.

The film is titled Animal Instincts III (although sometimes it’s also called Animal Instincts: The Seductress).

The screenwriter was Selwyn Harris. The director, Gregory Dark. The boobs, butthole and vagina came courtesy of Wendy Schumacher, and a whole bunch of other California hotties, one of whom happened to be real-teen porn scorcher Jenteal.

Animal Instincts III continues the epic saga of Animal Instincts and Animal Instincts 2, but with fake-funbagged Wendy Schumacher replacing ravishingly real-bosomed redhead Shannon Whirry in the lead role.

One other change is that central character’s name was changed from Joanna Cole in the first to installments to Joanna Coles (with an s) in this outing, simply because the genius penning the script heard it wrong.

This time out, Joanna hooks up with a blind record producer, which proves frustrating for her as she is Humanity’s Ultimate Exhibitionist.

By the way, the blind guy is also a champion knife thrower.

Any time Joanna can get her hands on some extracurricular sex, she nakedly leaps at it, thinking her recording engineer soul-mate can’t see her porking some of the gayest-looking beefcake to ever answer a non-Union casting call.

There is one standout moment when Wendy and Jenteal lez it up in a tub while two strippers-turned-cleaning-ladies go at it alongside them. Watch the clip.

The whole rip-roaring adventure reaches a climax involving a gangster rapper named Stone Chill, and a proposed concept album that will take him “back to Africa.”

Champion-level knife-throwing ensues.

Director Greg Dark had come out of hardcore porn, where he created classics on the order of New Wave Hookers and Between the Cheeks. Soon after Animal Instincts III, he was directing MTV videos for the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson.
