Don't get me wrong, Mr. Skin and MrSkin.com deserve every recognition they get, but the chances of it happening on national TV are pretty much slim, almost impossible, especially with the censors being who they are and keeping their eyes and ears open for any little thing that may cause an outcry. Not only them, of course, but the networks as well. I get the feeling that George Lopez didn't really mean what he said, because like I said previously, his pause after "Mr. Skin is . . . " while he fumbled for the right word -- the best he could come up with was "cool" -- let it be known that he was nervous and uncomfortable speaking about it in front of so many people in the audience and so many others watching at home. Somebody most likely put him up to it. No offense here, but I can't understand how people can like Lopez. He is so not funny and his humor is dry and sarcastic and his jokes are shallow.
Thank you Mr Skin. I watched the closed caption version of the west coast feed of the People's Choice Awards and took sudden interest when Mr. Skin's name appeared on the screen. However, closed captioning left out some of what George Lopez talked about. I'm glad you included this footage.
Awesome George Lopez, yes it does happen. In seeing sexy Susan Sarandon in Pretty Baby. I noticed how marvelous the film Pretty Baby was. and Brooke Shields was awesome, she should have gotten a nomination. A beautiful movie even due to it's controversial subject matter. Now Elizabeth Shue in Molly. I just noticed her cute bum. Her performance was laughable. It does happen. We notice the acting and the movie, it does happen. Way to go George,
I had an angry letter ready for George Lopez's agent after seeing this blog entry. I was under the impression that he had something negative to say about Mr. Skin last night, but upon viewing the video, I see that it was positive criticism and that's good, of course. I have a feeling he wasn't serious about what he said though. It was where he paused at "Mr. Skin is . . . " before adding "cool." That was the best word he could come up with and he had to think about that for a second? That fumbling was a bit uncool and he looked rather uncomfortable speaking about Mr. Skin, like somebody forced him to say it on national TV.
Mr. Skin and MrSkin.com may be popular and the core male audiences out there know who he is and what the web site represents, but you'll be surprised at how many people DON'T know who he is and what the site is all about. Maybe some just can't see the appeal and what all the rage is about. Maybe that's why G-Lo didn't get the kind of reaction he was probably hoping for when he spoke of it on national TV. I give Lopez an A for effort though.
