Based on a book by Marcel Sacotte, Jean-Luc Godard’s French New Wave masterpiece My Life to Live (1962) consists of twelve tableaux that trace the descent of Parisian woman named Nana (played by sexy Anna Karina, Godard’s wife) into prostitution against the background of the consumer culture of post-war France.
