Loosely based on the stand-up act of first-rate funnyman Bernie Mac, The Bernie Mac Show stars Bernie as a guy who's got it good. He's got a hot comedy career, an even hotter wife, and can't imagine anything messing with that life—but when his sis gets sent away to rehab, Bernie and his smokin' spouse (Kellita Smith) get custody of sis's kids. It's a struggle to learn to be a family, but Bernie must be doing something right, because he earned himself the rank of #47 in TV Guide's list of the fifty greatest TV dads ever.
