Oh, I agree with you James. The original "The Stepfather" is one of the touchstones of modern horror films. Terry O'Quinn did such a superb job in that role. Jill Schoelen I've had a crush on ever since I saw her naked in that shower, which took me by surprise at the time -- I was maybe about seven and I was allowed to watch the movie on VHS. My parents had no objections, because I was practically weened on horror films growing up. It was all anybody in my household would watch. I sure do miss Schoelen though. I wish she would come back to acting. As a matter of fact, when the movie finally made its long arrival to DVD, I purchased it the first week of release and when I watched it again after all these years, it sure brought back fond memories.

As far as the reboot goes, yeah, it was completely free of nudity and yes, even the incredibly sexy Amber Heard kept her clothes on and she's usually bold and daring when it comes to getting naked. She's now become my favorite actress right up there with Scarlett Johansson, because she REMINDS me of ScarJo -- the lips, the eyes, the voice, the face, EVERYTHING, except for the boobs, of course. Only ScarJo tops in that category. Surprisingly, the movie wasn't bad in terms of entertainment value, I was just plainly disappointed that the filmmakers couldn't add at least ONE nude scene to it. Sometimes Hollywood can be so lame when it comes to remakes. I guess it just goes to show you that maybe it's best to leave well enough alone.
