True Story (2021)

True Story (2021) is not indeed a true story, but this Netflix mini-series is thrilling from start to finish with action, adventure, twists, turns, and comedians. Yes, comedians! You will laugh as you marvel at the wild plot in this series. Kevin Hart is a famous comedian, both in real life and in this series, known as Kid who visits his home city of Philadelphia while he is on tour. What is supposed to be a standard visit to his old stomping grounds in between sold-out shows and being treated by old friends and new like royalty, winds up being incredibly dangerous. Suddenly, he is faced with having to leave Philly in order to save his life and he might have to solve some mysteries to figure out how to keep himself out of serious legal trouble over something he can't even remember happened. Ash Santos plays Daphne whose death in the show is one of the first major plot points that get the story starts. We didn't mean to spoil that, but it is not much of a spoiler when you consider that this is simply the plot of the show. We see her lying in bed in her underwear twice. She wears black panties and a black strapless bra when she appears to Kevin Hartt in a sort of dreamlike state. In another scene, she is laying dead in the bed. Either way, she looks amazing in her black lingerie. No wonder she is named Ash - she is a total smokeshow!
