An Indian girl and her family immigrate to Israel, only to find themselves in the middle of nowhere, specifically the Negev desert. Consigned to a life of difficult manual labor and surrounded by others just like them, they must make a go of it in one of the emptiest places on earth. Au bout du monde à gauche (2004) takes flight with the arrival of the English cricket team and a group of Moroccan immigrants. It may be boring in the desert, but Aure Atika doesn't care, as fabulous and loud scenes of her drilling her man fill up the emptiness.
