'Watchmen' Is Coming To HBO, Will It Bring More Nudity?

A New Take, Perhaps With New Nudity?

Fresh off the successful run ofThe Leftovers,Damon Lindelof and HBO have decided to team up again for a new project, Watchmen. Yes, you heard me right, they are going to develop the graphic novel masterpiece turned okay-ish film into a brand new television series.

Beyond the fact they are in the development phase, we don’t really know too much more about the project. The #1 critique Ihad with the Watchmen film is that I felt it strayed too far from the source material in places and made the whole endeavor feel… well, let’s just call it “Watchmen-Lite.” But, it does sound like Damon Lindelof and HBO are going in a different direction:

"There’s a little bit about that feeling of Watchmen, in terms of the fans, it’s like, I don’t really know if I want it to go mainstream," Lindelof said. "I want to keep it sort of insular. It’s okay with me if people don’t understand it because they don’t deserve to understand it."

If you don’t want to go mainstream, that’s just fine with all of us because when we hear “HBO” and “not mainstream,” that typically translates into way more nudity. Though, I kind of hope they can talk Malin Åkerman into reprising her role as Laurie Jupiterbecause she looked amazing in that outfit—and out of it!

No word on when the Damon Lindelof and HBO take on Watchmen will hit the small screen, but we are going to keep our eyes out for info on this one.
