You all know I love B-movies and I love b-movie boobs. They go together like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that also turns me on. Is that a weird metaphor? Just go with it. Like one of my favorite B-movies, I don't have to make sense. Today I want to talk about a film that is truly one of my all-time favorite "so-good-it's-bad" films: Birdemic. Let's talk about Birdemic: Shock and Terrorand its sequel, Birdemic 2: The Resurrection.
Director James Nguyen wanted to make a film modeled after his hero, Alfred Hitchcock. He essentially sought to remake The Birds with a modern twist: the birds are attacking because of global warming! It's a psychosexual thriller with a message. However, he barely had a budget and the movie is way too long. It takes almost an hour for the birds in Birdemic to show up at all! That's because the beginning of the movie focuses on establishing the romantic relationship between its leads which is how we meet bombshell Whitney Moore.
The first Birdemic film was rather tame. Whitney Moore stars as the beautiful, all-American blonde babe who works as a model. She shows off her long and lean model body when she takes off her shirt after going on a date with the lead dude in the movie. Unfortunately, her bra never comes off, but we definitely get to see amazing cleavage in her robin's egg blue bra. Watch out - the birds might attack those eggs!
The second film, however, corrected one of the first movie's mistakes: not enough breasts. Director James Nguyen made this movie five years later that had a bigger budget and bigger explosions. This time the residents of Los Angeles go up against the birds yet again. Whitney is gone, but Chelsea Turnbo shows up to fill her void. However, Chelsea does not take off her black bra. Leave it to ladies Amber Hay, Cara Provenzano, and Bunnie Barreras to take off their shirts in a locker room scene.
