Sasha Grey: The Mr Skin Interview

Sasha Grey is one of the adult industry’s most recognizable starlets.

After spending time doing theater and experimental film, Sasha appeared in her first porno movie right after she turned 18, doing an anal orgy scene with none other but veteran Rocco Siffredi in John “Buttman” Stagliano’s Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge.

Since then, Sasha’s resume has expanded to include dozens of titles, including Squirt Gangbang 1 (2007), Swallow My Children (2007), Teenage Anal Princess 5 (2006), and Cum Fart Cocktails 5 (2006). This year she had a role in the big budget adult feature Pirates II alongside Teagan Presley and Jesse Jane.

The actress has also appeared on The Insider and The Tyra Banks Show and will star in the upcoming Steven Soderbergh film The Girlfriend Experience.

Sasha is also a professed fan of power electronics performer Prurient.

She recently answered some questions for Maximilian Mueller.

Tell us about filming Pirates 2. Did you have to train for the fight scenes? What was that like?

It was a brilliant experience. Yes, we learned some basic sword fighting skills (movie style of course); how to handle a cutlass, as it were.

What was it like working with Steven Soderbergh in The Girlfriend Experience? Did you do a lot of nudity in that movie?

Did you ever see that film The Limey? I mean this film is nothing like that, or Traffic anyway. you have understand. Well…it’s Steven Soderbergh, one of the best things to happen contemporary American cinema. I think you’ll enjoy the film when it comes out.

You recently worked alongside David Hess in Smash Cut. Were you a fan of his early movies like Last House on the Left and House on the Edge of the Park? Was that a fun movie to make?

Yes on both. Smash Cut was an awesome experience, very campy and a lot of fun to make. It felt like making a film with old friends, rather than with a crew I’d never met.

Your band aTelecine has a record coming out this year. How did you get started with that? How would you describe the sound?

Yes we do. I’ve been recording since two zero zero five..This E.P. consists of vignettes of noise, abstract dub, and thick, heavy soundscapes; sensual and dark, erotically-charged and bleak. What was the first nude actress or sex scene you ever saw in a movie? Is there a story behind that?

Parts of Language of Love. No story really, it was on the tail end of a faded label VHS .

If someone were making a movie of your life, who would you want to play you?

Me or Steve Coogan.

What famous woman would you like to portray in her life story?

Cosey Fanni Tutti or Anna Karina perhaps

What’s your favorite sex scene in a mainstream movie?

Blue Velvet or Irreversible.

Who do you think is the hottest actress in Hollywood today, excluding Angelina Jolie?

Janeane Garofalo… humor is very sexy; and Mila Kunis.

Who do you think is the hottest actress of a past era, excluding Marilyn Monroe?

Anna Karina.

What was the first thing you ever stuck in your butt? What’s the last thing? The biggest thing?

A rectal thermometer, my boyfriend’s penis, and a sex toy.

You’ve expressed interest in watersports. Is there a reason you haven’t done that on film? Or have you?

What do you think “squirting” is? 98 % of the time it’s urine.

I don’t know about you, but the most extreme fisting I’ve ever seen has been with men. Why do you think gay men can take so much more up their ass than women seem to be able (or willing) to?

I don’t think it’s gender biased. Everybody loves to look at a little double-wide elbow-deep fun every now and then.

Yes. The other day I was at a restaurant and the waitress kept bringing me diet coke weather or not I was finished. Honestly, every five minutes a new cold frosty beverage. Without the fans I don’t exist. I love my fans. I love the diversity, the range of personalities.

I’m going to bring the band Hilt back into the center of collective consciousness; and possibly launch SashaGrey.com.
