BREAKING NUDES: In a growing skin-troversy, an interview Leslie Mann gave to DP/30 has surfaced in which she purports that This is 40 (2012) was her nude debut. 26-minutes into the clip she confirms that she has never done nudity in a movie before, but she did get “vulnerable” for this film and thought it was “helpful to be in that state”. Not exactly a definitive answer and no mention of possible postproduction alterations, but make of it what you will.
Mr. Skin's firm stance against CGI nudity as outlined in his open letter to Judd Apatow yesterday still stands.

Climb with us into the wayback machine, Skin fans, because we're traveling through time to the good ol' days of...July 2011?
Summer movie season was at its peak when the sci-fi/Western hybrid Cowboys & Aliens landed in theaters, but it was a letdown for us thanks to a CGI cover-up (a bit of a habit for Ms. Wilde). Here's what we said at the time:
Mr. Skin's Skin Skout has seen a sneak preview of Cowboys & Aliens, and it turns out the much-hyped butt scene is less than Wilde. 1 hour and 11 minutes into the movie, Olivia walks through a fire naked and miraculously unharmed. Olivia may be fine, but Skin Central is still feeling burnt, because CGI flames cover Olivia's seat meat in the rear view shot, exposing only naked back, and from the front we only see her from the shoulders up. Not to mention as soon as she walks out of the fire, Daniel Craig rushes in to cover Olivia's gorgeous naked body with a blanket.
Take special note of that last part, because when we got the Blu-ray of Cowboys & Aliens, our Blu-ray Ninja set out on a quest to defy the gods of moviemaking and find that butt shot.
And guess what, folks? He did it. There are exactly two frames of Olivia's cheeks in that scene, and our Blu-ray ninja found them. The moral of the story? Don't try to burn a ninja, or the ninja will burn you.

We've got the fluff dreams are made of nude on Blu-ray this week, like Angelina Jolie as a scorching Sapphic supermodel in the unrated version of Gia (1998), Isabella Rossellini fully nude in the kinky cult classic Blue Velvet (1986), and the undead, undressed working girls of Frankenhooker (1990). Plus, style reigns in the arty neo-noir One in the Gun (2010) and Catherine Breillat's equally atmospheric The Sleeping Beauty (2010), both nude on DVD.
The Change-Up (2011) is also new on DVD and Blu-ray, but proceed at your own risk: those funbags are CGI fakes.

How ironic. After coming under fire for making video game vixens unrealistically busty (Lara Croft, anyone?), when the video game industry gets the chance to animate a woman who ACTUALLY IS that stacked, they fail miserably.
Fanboys are up in arms, both arms being free, of course, because they claim that super-busty babe Christina Hendricks, who provided her image and voice for the game Need for Speed: The Run, has had a digital breast reduction.(Check out the pic above and decide for yourself if Christina's cans are a few pixels short of a byte.) The CGI version is still pretty voluptuous, but come on- this is video game Christina Hendricks. They should be AT LEAST the size of her head.

While we do not in any way condone the faux CGI funbags Leslie Mann had digitally inserted over her own twins in The Change-Up, we feel that, as a public service, we are obligated to post these screen caps of the offending pair.
It's like those pictures of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted they hang up at the post office- you hope and pray you never come across that face (or boobs, as the case may be), but if you do, it's breast to be prepared.

We knew we weren't the only ones shocked and appalled by The Change-Up! It seems the idea of computer generated nipples is offensive to more than just Skin Central, because this weekend the body-switch comedy placed a distant fourth at the box office. The Change-Up finished behind not only Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but also The Smurfs and Cowboys and Aliens, both of which were in their second week. Ouch!
After our positive nudity report turned out to be the result of CGI trickery, Skin Central certainly wasn't shelling out to see this flick, and we're willing to bet the unfolding CGI scandal we reported here at Mr. Skin kept other guys away too. Well, the tired concept and terrible reviews may have had something to do with it, but we're pretty sure it was us.
Let this be a lesson to movie producers who want to get guys into theaters with A-list nudity but not shell out the cash for the real thing...That's OUR fountain you're peeing in, gentlemen, and we're not gonna let you get away with it. Mr. Skin- protecting dudes from fake nudes since 1999!

At this point, no news is good news when it comes to the nudes in The Change-Up. First Olivia Wilde's suckle stalks were revealed to be CGI fakes, and now it looks like Leslie Mann's supposed nude debut in the film is also a case of skinematic shenanigans. Skin Central received a tip from a reader that Leslie talked about her "nude debut" on Access Hollywood last week, and here's what piqued our skinterest:
Access Hollywood: There are some hilarious scenes- hilarious NUDE scenes- with the Thai food, the breast feeding...what was it like shooting those scenes?
Leslie: To grow bigger boobs? (laughs) It was really hard, bit some people can do that, and I can. It's this strange talent that I have.
AH: So was there a body double?
L: Yeah, I can do things like that. (laughs)
Leslie's being coy, but in The Change-Up her face is visible in both "topless" scenes- one where she bares her rightie breastfeeding a baby, and one when she emerges from the bathroom topless (The "Thai food scene"), making a body double all but skinpossible. So, we're guessing this means her cans are actually CGI fakes, added after shooting was complete. If this trend continues, the only guys who'll be seeing celebrity nudes in the future are post-production artists. Anybody want to help Skin Central learn Photoshop?

We reported earlier this week that while there isn't a full-on boob shot of Olivia Wilde in the upcoming film The Change-Up, there is a good 10 seconds of "side boob and sharp nip" in a scene where she grinds on Ryan Reynolds. As it turns out, Olivia isn't using a body double in that scene...but those aren't really her nips.
Confused? Olivia revealed in a recent skinterview that she wore pasties while filming the scene; Reynolds' body was supposed to block them, but he moved too far to one side, revealing the little hooter hats in the final shot. In order to make the scene more "realistic," the film's producers turned to the magic of CGI:
"I got to approve the nipples! They sent me an email saying, 'Please review nipple cover shot one through seven and decide which one is most like the original.' I don't know what he (producer) was using as source material... but I think it's pretty close."
You don't know what they were using as source material? Uh, how about your topless scene in Alpha Dog (2006), Olivia darlin' ? Skin Central could probably re-create those suckle stalks from memory by now!
