Mr Skin Remembers Director of Deep Throat

Gerard Damiano, the man behind Golden Age classics Deep Throat and The Devil in Miss Jones and the mainstreaming of hardcore in the early 1970s dubbed “porn chic,” passed away this past Saturday from complications caused by a stroke.

Over his time in the industry, Damiano worked with stars like Linda Lovelace, Gloria Leonard, Harry Reems, Jamie Gillis, Peter North, George Payne, Sharon Mitchell, Annie Sprinkle, and Sharon Kane.

The director had retired in 1994 after making a total of 47 movies, including the BDSM-themed The Story of Joanna, Let My Puppets Come, and Splendor in the Ass with early anal queen Rachel Ryan.

House Bunny Hottie Anna Faris to Portray Legendary Deep Throat Star Linda Lovelace in New Biopic

MTV recently reported that Anna Faris, who is presently hopping high atop box office charts in her tail-baring comedy hit The House Bunny, is preparing to portray larger-than-lust vintage porno pole-smoker Linda Lovelace in a biopic of the Deep Throat star tentatively titled Inferno.

Few figures from the Golden Age of Porn are more central and more controversial than Chuck Traynor. The cousin of the original Jay from the group Jay and the Americans, Traynor began acted in sexploitation movies like Joe Sarno’s Odd Triangle and Karla in the late 1960s.

From 1971 to 1974, Traynor was married to the original porn star and epitome of porn chic Linda Lovelace, whom he allegedly talked into entering the world of porn, first doing loops like the infamous Dog-Fucker and ultimately starring in the hardcore classic Deep Throat in 1972.
