Greetings my friends, and welcome back to Castle Rackula. This week, my flamboyant cousin Count Ballsackula dragged me to go see Twilight. I was impressed by what I saw of Kristen Stewart (can’t wait to see her play lesbian dominatrix Joan Jett), but I think he was more interested in Robert Pattinson.

In the past, Count Ballsackula has dragged me to see Interview with the Vampire, Gayracula, and to Truman Capote’s table at Studio 54.

But I digress. The subject at hand is holiday horror movies, which I will be exploring throughout the month of December.

We will begin with the most notorious of the genre, Silent Night, Deadly Night.

Number 3: Linnea Quigley

Ask a horror fan to name a Scream Queen, and the first name that automatically comes up, without fail, is Linnea Quigley.

She came from Davenport, Iowa, and debuted nude in the wild mockumentary Auditions, followed by a stand-out turn as Sleeping Beauty in the not-for-kiddies softcore romp Fairy Tales.

After that, Linnea stripped for the fright flick Stone Cold Dead, and in 1981 alone she appeared in the buff in Don’t Go Near the Park, Graduation Day, and Psycho From Texas. From there, a Scream Queen Supreme was born … naked.

Richard Christy is best known as a staffer on The Howard Stern Show, specializing in prank calls and outrageous stunts with Sal the Stockbroker.

Richard is also an accomplished musician, playing drums in heavy metal bands like Death and Iced Earth, with whom he has toured extensively.

A long-time fan of horror movies, Richard recently took the time to discuss nudity in horror, haunted houses, and his favorite day of the year, Halloween, with Maximilian Mueller.

Hello my friends, and welcome back to Castle Rackula. I’ve been in a reflective mood lately. The economic meltdown that currently surrounds us has put me in mind of the movie Wall Street and the Black Monday crash of 1987.

Of course, the market doesn’t concern me, since all my assets are in the form of Aztec gold stored in a vault deep below the castle and guarded by an army of my thralls. As long as the blood banks don’t fail, I’ll be fine.

But back to the topic at hand. The 80s were a special for this vampire. I was in my early eight hundred and twenties and looking for a good time. And when I wasn’t haunting Studio 54 or waiting outside the health clinics to bite the girls who came out clean, I was at the movies!

Hey, Los Angelenos -- Don’t Miss Tonight’s Great Linda Blair Grindhouse Double Feature at the New Beverly Theater!

Chained Heat and Savage Streets – two of Linda Blair’s most skin-during exploitation classics – will play tonight (September 30, 2008) as this month’s entry in the ongoing, mind-and-lap-blowing Grindhouse Film Festival held at the beloved New Beverly Theater.

Savage Streets starts at 7:30pm. It not only showcases Linda in the buff, but also Linnea Quigley (as her mute kid sister), Rebecca Perle, and Suzee Slater.

Chained Heat follows at 10pm. One of the last true giants of classic exploitation filmmaking, superhumanly prolific Fred Olen Ray was born on this date in 1954.

Fred is credited with directing well over 100 films. Among his breast efforts are some genuine skin classics, such as Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers and Evil Toons, which feature T&A-list B-movie bombshells on the order of Michelle Bauer, Linnea Quigley, Monique Gabrielle, Katie Jordan, Allanah Rhodes, and Tricia Burns.

Ray’s Inner Sanctum even features career-hottest performance by Hollywood babes Tanya Roberts and Margaux Hemingway.

Still pumping out affably off-the-wall cheapies that include Bikini Airways, Bikini Chain Gang, Bikini Drive-In, Bikini Hoe-Down, Bikini Pirates and Bikini Girls from the Lost Planet, Fred Olen Ray keeps low-budget skinema alive and kicking.

And, for that, Mr. Skin one-handedly salutes him!
