The trailer for the upcoming movie The Canyons, starring Lindsay Lohan and porn star James Deen, is out, and while we get that cheap and sleazy is what they're going for, we can't get over how...cheap and sleazy it looks.
Looks like we'll get a long-overdue look at those famous Lohan lactoids in action, anyway. Lindsay's only proper topless film work to date is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it topless shot in Madonna's Justify My Love video...uh, we mean, 2009 short film Lindsay's Private Party. Or, you know, Playboy.

What kind of trouble is Lindsay Lohan getting into now? If any member of the motley crew that is Fox News, TMZ and The Sun can be believed, she's leveraging her star power into leveraging guys out of their pants on the set of The Canyons.
According to TMZ, Lindsay got a bit camera-shy when it was time to unleash her puppies for a topless scene-- until she got some company:
"Sources connected with production tell TMZ, the scene required Lindsay to go topless -- but she was so uncomfortable with the idea of baring her bosom in front of the set's 10-man crew, she asked them to strip down with her ... to their boxers.
The crew was hesitant at first -- but according to sources, they eventually obliged, stripping down and shooting the entire scene in their skivvies ... and it all went off without a hitch."
This sounds like classic PR ballyhoo to us. Here's what really happened: Lindsay balked at doing a topless scene, so the producer pulled out a copy of Playboy and explained to her that, while she might not remember December 2011, the rest of the world does, and everyone on the crew had already seen her freckled funbags.
And the bra went off without a hitch.

A report surfaced on TMZ this morning saying that paramedics were called after Lindsay Lohan was found "unresponsive" in her hotel suite, prompting rumors that the troubled star had checked out for good.
Thankfully, it turns out that Lindsay isn't dead- just a very heavy sleeper. But she must have sustained some sort of head injury while she was out, because now apparently she's having second thoughts about being in that movie with the porn star and the threesomes (aka The Canyons).
A "source" tells the New York Post that although Lindsay initially agreed to be in the Bret Easton Ellis-penned saga of “youth, glamour, sex and Los Angeles," she's hesitating to sign on the dotted line because she “would be required to do full frontal nudity, and the sex scenes are very, very graphic.”
Yeah, but what about that nudie mag (you know the one) she posed for a few months ago?
“Yes, Lindsay has posed nude for Playboy, but doing it in a movie is completely different,” says the "source". “Lindsay needs to make sure that she is comfortable with it, and that this is something she can handle as an artist. It's expected that Lindsay will sign the contract in the next two weeks, as filming begins at the beginning of July. Lindsay has admired Bret's work for a very long time, and one of her favorite movies is ‘Less Than Zero.’”
So...don't think about it too much, Lindsay. Just do it. Full frontal is how you show the world that you're a "serious actress" now. Right, Michelle Williams?

When author, screenwriter and semi-official chronicler of LA's nightlife scene Bret Easton Ellis speaks, Hollywood listens. Or at least Lindsay Lohan does.
Ellis has cast Lohan alongside real-life porn star James Deen in his new movie The Canyons, starring Deen as Christian, a "handsome, fit power player and major manipulator" who "enjoys setting up three-ways and filming them." Lindsay will be playing Tara, a former model who "has sold her pride for the material comforts [Christian] can provide," and while sadly the movie is not an out-and-out porno, hopefully acting alongside the guy known as "the Ryan Gosling of porn" will compel Lindsay to expose her peaks and valleys.
Ellis leaked the news over Twitter yesterday, tweeting "Shooting THE CANYONS starring James Deen and Lindsay Lohan: July 9-31 in L.A. Could not have dreamed of a better cast. Lindsay nailed it…”
Let's hope she continues to nail it when the cameras are rolling, if you know what we mean.
And high off of the success of his latest announcement, Ellis has now started recruiting via Twitter for the movie version of 50 Shades of Grey despite not having any official connection to the project. So far he's volunteered himself (naturally) as screenwriter and proposed a motley crew that includes Emmy Rossum, Lena Dunham, Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Stewart as potential stars for the torrid S&M fantasy tale.
So in other words, if you want to appoint yourself the porn king of Hollywood, all you need is a Twitter account and a lot of chutzpah. Writing the novels that Less Than Zero, American Psycho, The Rules of Attraction, and The Informers (see them here at MrSkin.com) were based on probably helps too. But we're banking on the chutzpah.
