HBO teams with Oprah Winfrey and the writer of Secretary for promising new series.

Oprah Winfrey has been completely dominating the headlines lately with her announcement that she's ending her cultishly loved TV show after 25 years. So encompassing is her media coverage, even we're talking about the chat queen for the second time in a week.

Last week Oprah drilled Jenna Jameson about her porno past, and today we're learning that Winfrey has signed on to produce a sexually charged new series for HBO. Even better news is that the series' scribe, Erin Cressida Wilson, is best known for writing the perfect role in which to see Maggie Gyllenhaal nude, the S&M drama Secretary.

Also on Showtime, the sex addiction comedy Californication featured the naked rackport of topless Kristine Blackport, and skinthusiasts should be on the lookout for a scene featuring Eva Amurri on stage in a thong in the near future.

Anna Paquin Doesn't See What All the Fuss Is About Her Frequent Nudity

Obviously True Blood vampire-humper Anna Paquin doesn't have a problem with nudity. She's proven it over and over (and over and over) again on her hit HBO show. But still, it's nice to hear her say it's only natural to go au naturel.

The blonde beauty confessed in a recent cover story in Nylon magazine:

I don’t think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting… It’s not the culture I was raised in. I was not brought up in the United States. I don’t share the [attitude] that you can have graphic violence, but – God forbid – you see someone’s nipples.

It’s like, I’m sorry, maybe there are a lot of women who keep their bras on while they have sex . . . I don’t happen to be one of them.

HBO Sunday Night Delivers Hot Bodies Out of Clothes

Season two of True Blood started off with a bang—Anna Paquin getting deliciously naked while banging a vampire, that is. But since then the skin has been slim, mostly relegated to unknowns in the frequent orgy scenes and a little butt crack from Ashley Jones. So when Anna Paquin's character Sookie was seen in bed with vampire Eric in a dream sequence in last night's episode, we didn't expect much actual skin. But to our surprise, after some idle vamp chat with Sookie covering her left breast with her arm, she actually unveiled those juicy mammary glands. And once again, it was bloody good.

After that lead in came the surprisingly nudity-light Hung. For a donkey-donged dude trying to sell his schlong services to lonely women, Thomas Jane doesn't get to spend much time in the company of naked ladies. Early in the season we were treated to hot redhead Rebecca Creskoff showing T&A while she sampled Jane's goods, and then Natalie Zea added a little more tit during a boff scene. Both of these were debut nude scenes, as was last night's nugget, which found Alanna Ubach giving an enthusiastic topless performance as Jane's neighbor. Previously Alana employed body doubles in Waiting... and Still Waiting..., the former finding the fur-phobic actress not even willing to don a super-bushy merkin. Going from body-doubled merkin to showing off her perkins is the kind of turnaround Mr. Skin loves.

Weeds Offers Its First Nudity of the Season

Season five of the hit Showtime pot-com Weeds has been sadly lacking in nudity, despite four previous skin-filled seasons. But that changed last night when series star Mary-Louise Parker, whose character recently birthed her third son, plopped out her right breast in hopes of alleviating some of the pain in her milk-filled mams.

The actress had previously appeared nude in two episodes during season four, though she later proclaimed she regretted agreeing to strip off, saying:

I didn't think I needed to be naked, and I fought with the director about it, and now I'm bitter. I knew it was going to be on the Internet: "Mary-Louise shows off her big nipples." I wish I hadn't done that. I was goaded into it.

At least now we know where Mary-Louise stands when it comes to nudity: naked in a bathtub while having a chat, unnecessary; nude right boob while breastfeeding a grown man, integral to the plot's advancement.
