Skin Scouts Scout Skin.

For the last two weeks, we’ve been bringing you reports from our Skin Scouts at the CIFF and today will be no exception.

On the agenda for today are three of our favorite things: skingoria, shower scenes, and girls’ locker rooms.

In the Mexican crime thriller Backyard, there’s skingoria galore-ia! Not only do we get to see tons of uncredited actresses totally naked (and usually dead), we also get to see Adriana Paz’s bare butt and Asur Sagada’s vadge.

Meanwhile, the acclaimed German film Berlin ’36 has some anonymous locker room butts and Julie Engelbrecht’s naked right knocker 29 minutes in.

Is that a Berlin 36D?

Where the World Comes to Strip.

Our skin scouts are out in force in Chicago this weekend for the Chicago International Film Festival, and so far they haven’t been disappointed.

On day one, Brian Caunter’s crime drama Chicago Overcoat gave us some anonymous rackage from strippers on stage and a topless shot of real-life Chicagoan Jill Sandmire in the opening scenes.

Things went from local to truly skinternational with the Russian drama Hipsters. This award-winning flick features the bare T&A of the very sexy and naked Oksana Akinshina an hour and eight minutes in.

Partners, a kinky crime thriller from France, co-stars Nina Meurisse, who shows off her boobs, butt, and bush six times and has two threesomes—one with two men and one with another girl.

That all adds up to one skintastic movie.

Italian filmmaker Michelangelo Antonioni revolutionized world cinema in 1960 with L’Avventura, the sensual story of a woman who disappears shot in a radically original style.

That same year, Antonioni also helmed La Notte, another remarkable success. It hardly seems a coincidence that both of these breakthroughs contained female nudity.

However, Antonioni truly broke open skinternational possibilities with the swinging London mystery Blow Up, which showcased name starlets -- Vanessa Redgrave and Jane Birkin, to be precise -- in amazing, taboo-shattering states of undress. The result was a critically hailed masterwork and global box-office blockbuster.
