The trailer for a new Ilana Glazer comedy was released last week and we are all so excited to see the sexy and hilarious Ilana Glazer back on the big screen. But fans of the comedian may have noticed that this film Babes is about pregnancy...wasn't her last film about pregnancy? And didn't she go nude in it? Yes and yes. Will she go nude again? Let's talk about it.
In the new comedy Babes, Ilana co-stars with comedian Michelle Buteau (yes, she's the host of The Circle). Ilana co-wrote the script and Pamela Adlon is the director. We love Pamela! This is a team of skintastic and hilarious women. So what is this film about?
Michelle and Ilana play best friends who are quite different. Ilana is a single free spirit and Michelle is a married mother of two. Ilana has to depend on her best friend when she gets pregnant from a one-night stand and falls into the world of pregnancy for the first time. It's a whirlwind, but her best has her back - or does she? We will have to find out in Babes!
Will she go nude? We don't have a definitive word on that yet, but you know that we will break that news when we get to it. Luckily, Ilana has gone nude in the past, so we have plenty to celebrate as we wait for Babes to show boobage.
She starred in another film called False Positive in which she played a pregnant woman. In this trippy horror film from 2021, Ilana plays a pregnant woman who fears something is wrong with her pregnancy after she and her mad doctor husband try a new method of IVF. She thinks that something bad is going on with her baby - like devilishly bad. That's right, it's another Rosemary's Baby! She thinks her kid might be the son of Satan which might make her hubby the devil.
Ilana co-wrote this film, too. That means that she can do horror and comedy, but I am very glad that she is taking the pregnancy theme and putting it to comedic use. Not that I didn't love False Positive. I really loved seeing her breasts in several scenes in this movie. I am positive about that!
She was great in a horror film, but Ilana is SO good at comedy that I am overjoyed she is going back to her roots with a female buddy comedy. That is something that she does very well and it's the formula that made her famous to begin with.
Ilana Glazer first made us all laugh until we cried by playing an exaggerated version of herself in the original Comedy Central series Broad City. Yes, she as one of the titular broads! Ilana co-created the series with Abbi Jacobson and was able to do whatever she wanted to make us laugh. That included having lots of sex, rarely wearing a bra, and playing around with strap-ons. Hilarious and horny!
