Dark Shadows opens in theaters today, and although Mr. Skin Nudity Hall-of-Famer Eva Green co-stars as wicked witch Angelique, don't expect nude sparks to fly.

Eva gets it on with Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's first-ever attempt at a sex scene, but she says the favorite filmmaker of teenage Goths everywhere isn't the best at creating onscreen steam:

"We kept making fun of it, saying it looks like two, uhm, puppets making love, kind of wooden and very tame. It's Ken and Barbie making love," she told reporters while on a press tour for the film.

We think you're a doll, Eva, but that's not exactly what we had in mind.

The producers of William Friedkin's new movie Killer Joe (2011) are sticking to their guns.

The legendary director of The Exorcist submitted this "totally twisted deep-fried Texas redneck trailer park murder story" to the dreaded MPAA censorship board earlier this year, only to be told that extensive cuts would be needed for an R rating.

But rather than cut the already-infamous "KFC scene" where Matthew McConaughey forces Gina Gershon to give head to a chicken leg, the producers of Killer Joe have decided to wear the NC-17 rating with pride and will be releasing the movie uncut and on schedule on July 27.

The NC-17 rating, long considered a cinematic "kiss of death", has been experiencing something of a resurgence lately: Shame (2011) earned solid box office despite its NC-17 rating for graphic sex and nudity, a pattern that Killer Joe is hoping to replicate. (This will be Gina's second foray into NC-17 territory: she also co-starred in the 1995 SKINstant classic Showgirls.)

Brian DePalma has filmed some amazing nude scenes over the years (Exhibit A: Penthouse pet Victoria Lynn Johnson's shower scene in Dressed to Kill), including some scorching Sapphic ones (Exhibit B: Rebecca Romijn and Rie Rasmussen in Femme Fatale). Of course, he's also made some real stinkers, so we're overjoyed that DePalma is sticking to what he knows best- slick psychosexual thrillers- for his new movie Passion.

Passion is still in post-production, but the first official image from the film (above) promises some lesbian liplock action between stars Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams. Ohhhhh, that red lipstick...

We don't know what it's about, and we don't really care. Do you guys think Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri Martino go on mother/daughter spa dates? Legendary B-movie producer Roger Corman once said that nudity is "the world's cheapest special effect." Mr. Skin agrees, but with one little addition: it's also the most effective.

They show tits on primetime TV in Denmark, so when the Danes want to make an outrageously offensive comedy, they've really got to go for the jugular (or the brown eye, as the case may be).
