Promoting their new movie Whip It, due out October 9, Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page appeared together in Marie Claire wearing roller skates and short shorts.

Besides a photo of Drew going crotch to ass with the sexually amorphous 22-year-old in a bending over position, the magazine also features a shot of the pair engaged in a steamy lesbian makeout session.

Ever since her convincing portrayal of a newly-initiated Sapphist on Saturday Night Live and her almost non-stop lesbian-like behavior, rumors have swirled about whether the Juno star shares more with Ellen DeGeneres than just a first name.

Yesterday, we covered Ellen DeGeneres living out her fantasies on screen with Sharon Stone back in 2000. And we all know that openly bisexual Angelina Jolie was at the set early every day she got to spend naked with Gia.

So here’s hoping that Ms. Page follows suit, naked, on camera, with Drew Barrymore.

If, that is, she's into girls, which is far from clear.

The interview that accompanies the sexy photos is somewhat ambiguous.

Ellen: And people who never played a sport in their life do this! I grew up playing sports, but now I feel like I can't, because if I get injured, I'll impair whatever film I'm working on.

Drew: She's a big soccer player.

Nothing there. How about this?

Marie Claire: [to Ellen] I heard you backpacked through Romania.

Lots of straight girls are into backpacking in Eastern Europe.

Drew: I couldn't do that. I'm so jealous. I never take a break.

Ellen: I'm going to pull you away soon, and we'll go on a wild adventure.

That doesn't necessarily refer to scissoring.

Marie Claire: Was the chemistry instant between you two?

Ellen: I first met Drew at the Chateau Marmont. And it was a surreal moment for me in my life. You could just feel her warmth and kindness immediately, and the way she carried herself was just so grounded. So then it was like, "Oh, this is going to be great." And then it went into, "Oh, my God, I'm really crazy about this person." It just grew and grew and grew and grew and grew.

Drew: We didn't know each other at first, but there was no other person I was going to make the movie with.

This is going nowhere, but we’ll look at one more.

Drew: Ellen has such a beautiful body, and I personally battled with my own body image for years. I used to tell myself, You can't wear anything sleeveless or strapless. And all of a sudden I was like, What if I just didn't send such negative messages to my brain and said, wear it and enjoy it? And now I'm more comfortable in clothes than ever.

Ellen: That openness. It's so sexy.

Drew: She was in her frickin' bra with an open jacket and hot-pink shorts, skating around the rink with red lips and ...

Ellen: I was having a really good time.

Drew: ... and she was sexy as a mother ... a feral creature…
