With all the hubbub surrounding Mr Skin's 10th Annual Anatomy Awards, we almost forgot about the Academy Awards!
The Oscars were held last night in Los Angeles, with the big winning being the Bollywood-meets-Hollywood Slumdog Millionaire leading the pack with eight awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Danny Boyle.
We were a little taken aback by the snubbing of naked Marisa Tomei for her Best Supporting Actress role in The Wrestler--the statue went to Penelope Cruz. At last the lovely Marisa still has her Anatomy Award to proudly display!
And Kate Winslet took home the Best Actress award. Spanks to the Academy for recognizing Kate's fantastic, skintastic work in The Reader!
Check out IMDb.com for the full list of winners.
After ten rod-stiffening nude appearances, from 1994’s Heavenly Creatures all the way up to this year’s Oscar-nominated The Reader, Kate Winslet has delivered a devastating blow to skin-ficionados everywhere.
When Time magazine asked the Golden Globe winner when she planned to bare her own golden globes again, the Titanic-tittied Winslet replied, "I think I won't. I can't keep getting away with it, and I don't want to become 'that actress who always gets her kit off'."
Apparently, “kit” is British slang for “fans.”

The Golden Globes were a feast for the eyes and thighs, as all female nominees for best actress roles were actresses who'd done great nudity.
And with the release of the full list of Oscar noms this morning, the nominudes continue. Especially in the Best Actress category!
It came as no surprise that double Globe winner Kate Winslet got the nod for her very impressive and very naked work in The Reader. And naked Angelina Jolie (and her exquisite ass) were a lock for Changeling.
The other noms are just as titillating, including one surprise name who has a secret past as one of the most awesomely naked stars of the 1980s!
Find out who it is--and see all the Oscar nominees nude--after the cut!
Every year, Oprah Winfrey does a special show called "My Favorite Things" in which she shows off her most coveted products and objects.
This year, we expect to see Kate Winslet boobs topping Oprah's list!
The great Kate, fresh off her double Golden Globes win, appeared on the show yesterday, and her double globes were the focus of much of the conversation.
After the cut, watch the vid and see was Oprah has to say about Kate Winslet's natural breasts!
Last night's Golden Globe awards didn't honor the astonishing array of golden globes that have made their way to the big and small screens over the past year—with two very worthy exceptions. The skinless Slumdog Millionaire taking home the most statues of the night on the movie side, and for television the big winner was John Adams, which did at least offer up Sarah Polley's right cracker.
But while reliably nude pay-cable hits like Californication, Weeds, and Entourage came up empty handed, a pair of the best nude scenes of the past twelve months were somewhat surprisingly honored. Former child star Anna Paquin won for her role as a vampire lover who repeatedly bares her chest fangs on True Blood.
But the big winner of the night was definitely Kate Winslet. The master thespian's name shows up in the list of nominees every couple of years, but until last night the oft-nude actress had never taken home the trophy. Kate was honored twice last night, winning Best Supporting Actress for The Reader and Best Actress Drama for Revolutionary Road. Kate's unbelievable nudity in The Reader—which is easily one of the best barings of her career—obviously helped her bring home the gold, even with Marisa Tomei's equally impressive nudity in The Wrestler as her closest stiff(nipped) competition. As for Revolutionary Road, where Kate kept covered, Mr Skin can't explain it. Good acting, maybe?

moreIn super-babe Kate Winslet's new movie The Reader, she plays a guard in a Nazi concentration camp who has a relationship with a fifteen-year-old boy! The flick is full of the delicious Kate in various stage of nudity and when it comes to the theme of a grown woman bedding down with a teen boy, she's as openminded as can be!
From an interview with The Guardian:
I start to ask whether she was able to find any way to empathise with [her character, Hanna] Schmitz, given the character’s Nazi past, and the fact that her life includes this relationship with this young boy, which, I suggest, by modern standards, would be considered paedophilia on some level. She recoils. “I think you should be careful with that word.” She gives an unconvincing laugh.
“But do you know what I mean?” I say.
“No, actually, not with using that word, I don’t.”
Even given the fact that he’s 15?
“No, I don’t. Not to that extent, no, I have to say, I have to be very, very honest, you know, I think that it’s a very dangerous word to use - that applies to pre-pubescents. Let’s bear in mind that this boy turns 16 in the story, and that’s legal marriage age. And Hanna is led to believe he is 17. And the actor himself, David Kross, is 18, you know, he’s an adult.”
Now that's what we call a real cumming-of-age story.

This morning saw the announcement of the nominees for this year's Golden Globes, and a few of Mr Skin's favorites made the cut, including Marisa Tomei and Kate Winslet, whose nude turns this year just missed the cut-off for landing on Mr Skin's list of the Top 20 Celebrity Nude Scenes of 2008. It's nice to see these nude ladies getting the credit they so hardily deserve!
After the cut, find out which nominees will put a statuette in your pants.
Ravishing Brit Kate Winslet has been everywhere recently. She has two films coming out this month, the suburban drama Revolutionary Road and the Holocaust film The Reader, which are both garnering Oscar buzz for the oft-nominated thespian. But what has Mr Skin buzzing is Kate's great nude form in The Reader, which she helped to promote by . . . displaying her great nude form in Vanity Fair. Well, that makes sense. But Winslet had her reservations about both. She said of her nude love scenes with younger man David Kross in The Reader:
It was the same as shooting any other scene of that nature. A scene with that level of intimacy involving nudity, you know, it's always nerve-wracking, and you really have to rehearse those scenes so that everybody knows exactly what's going on. He didn't need that much looking after.
But while Winslet is eager to strip for her art, she wasn't so sure about going nude on the pages of a magazine—that is until she found out that Steven Meisel, the infamous lensmen behind Madonna's Sex book, would be shooting the snaps:
I didn't go into that shoot knowing the concept... but when you're asked to be on the cover of Vanity Fair and photographed by Steven Meisel, it's a wonderful thing to experience.
It's a fantastic opportunity just to be able to have that memory in your lifetime. I absolutely had a moment of thinking, 'I don't believe I'm gonna take my clothes off here,' and the next moment I thought, 'Yeah, dammit, I am; I'm 33, I've had two kids, Steven Meisel is taking pictures of me naked. This is never gonna happen again!'
I transported myself 30 years on and I wanted to be able to say, 'Yeah, I did that.' That was one of those crazy, wonderful things and I'm really happy to have that memory.
I have the prints from the shoot that Steven gave me at the end of the day that were taken out of the camera and were blown up.
What did Kate do with those prints? Are they hanging in the hallway next to the family Christmas portraits? Because Mr Skin thinks that a pretty good idea.
