In the annals of “spaghetti splatter” gore films from Italy in the 1970s and ’80s, the name Lucio Fulci ranks high among the most revered.

From his breakthrough shocker A Lizard in a Woman’s Skin (1971) through his signature classic Zombie (1979) to his meta-horror freak-out Cat in the Brain (1990), Fulci established an over-the-top style in which flesh and blood exploded with orgiastic abandon.

Number 25: Edwige Fenech

Algerian eyeful Edwige Fenech turned the world on nearly nonstop during her reign as a one of skinternational cinema’s most swinging Euro-vixens from the late 1960s to the early 1980s.

Of course, many of her most nudesworthy efforts were horror films, including her true worldwide bust-out, Italian scare-maven Mario Bava’s masterpiece All the Colors of the Dark (1972).

This prompted buxom blonde Miss Baker to hop the pond to Europe, where more libertine attitudes turned her into a skinternational sex symbol in films such as Private Lesson, Paranoia, and The World Is Full of Married Men.

Carroll’s turns (and turn-ons) in Euro fright fests such as Bloodbath, The Sweet Body of Deborah, and especially the elegant witch story Baby Yaga established her as a Scream Queen of the hightest (and hottest) order.
